History: Zack was born in Gongaga, a place known for its wetlands and warm sun almost all year round. At age 14, he joined up with the ShinRa organized military group, otherwise known as SOLDIER. Once he was in the Soldier program, he was taken under the tutelage of one of the elite first class SOLDIERS, Angeal Hewley. After many years, when he became a second class SOLDIER, he was sent off to Dusk Academy to learn about more than a SOLDIERs training could ever teach him. Of course, when he realized that his idol Sephiroth was going to be there, as well as his mentor, he became much more excited to go.
While he was there, he made many friends, as he is just that personable, and making friends comes easily to him. He excelled in all his classes, especially the classes the Angeal taught. It really wasn’t his fault that he just paid more attention in those classes then the rest. The teachers there were rather dull there, and when he did attend classes, he tended to joke around and pull a few pranks with the help of several other students who he will never mention their names.
While being in the school, he received his promotion up to first class SOLDIER, and he did what any other person would do; he celebrated and then got down to business. At the age of 22, he left the school and followed his mentor down to Dusk Village, where he became a mercenary, as well as still being a SOLDIER first class.
